What to expect in your acupuncture session
-
There will be an in-depth assessment of your conditions on the first visit. The acupuncture session is given on the same day after the evaluation.
-
Treatment is normally administered with your clothes on. If disrobing is required, you will be draped properly.
-
After the needles are inserted, you stay on the treatment table for 30 minutes. During this time your energy circulation would have completed one full cycle throughout your entire system.
-
You should feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the duration of your treatment. You may want to sleep, meditate, or just rest.
-
When your session ends, acupuncturist returns to the room to remove the needles. and this completes your treatment. You can expect the same routine every time you come for an acupuncture session.
-
You may experience various energetic sensations while the needles are retained and it is normal. Some of the common energetic effects reported by our patients are momentary pain, itch, numbness, heavy sensation of the body, their bodies feel stuck to the treatment table, involuntary movement of limbs, felt like they were sinking into the treatment table, out of body experience, spiritual or mystical states, non-ordinary psychic experiences.
-
Many of our patients experienced very deep sleep during their acupuncture treatment. According to research, the level of rejuvenation that a person gets from a 30-minute session of acupuncture is equivalent to a good solid eight hours of sleep! This is one of the reasons why acupuncture is such a powerful treatment for stress.
What to expect in your Reiki session
-
There will be an in-depth assessment of your condition or situation on the first visit. The Reiki session is given on the same day after the evaluation.
-
Reiki treatment is always administered with your clothes on.
-
Reiki is administered while you're lying comfortably on the table and our Reiki therapist gently places her hands on certain areas of your body where intended for Reiki energy to transmit.
-
This is a comfortable and deeply relaxing process. You are not required to do anything more than being open to receive the energy and to be healed.
-
Once Reiki energy enters your energy field, healing starts to take place at the physical, emotional, mental, and/or soul level where imbalances or afflictions reside.
-
It is common to experience non-ordinary psychic, energetic states or non-ordinary physical responses during a Reiki session. Reiki is high frequency cosmic healing energy from the spiritual planes and when entering your energy field it can cause you to travel to and from different states of consciousness, going into deeper levels of brain waves, or have temporary out-of-body experience. Energetic phenomena are a normal part of Reiki transference and are absolutely safe. Once a Reiki session ends, the psychic or energetic experiences also end and you will return to your normal mental and physical states. Many clients wished that they could stay in their wonderful Reiki states forever...
-
The length of a Reiki session is 45 minutes.
-
At the end of a session, there will be a short follow-up discussion about your experiences and to answer any questions that you may have.
